If you’re on the fence about doing yoga, Practice could easily be the studio to convince you.
I started with Practice a little over a year ago. I was looking for an exercise class in the neighborhood, but didn’t especially need it to be yoga. I had tried a fair amount of yoga but found myself sometimes turned off by feeling it to be more image than substance. Yoga is not that. And Practice is certainly not that. It’s an extraordinary, little yoga studio. It’s welcoming, it’s intimate, it’s grounded. It’s a beautiful space that is a pleasure to just walk in the front door.
Steve and Cathy are so wonderful and welcoming and they have a knack for picking yoga teachers. I’ve enjoyed every class I’ve taken with any of the teachers. They are truly an all-star cast, each brings their own flavor and quality to their classes.
When starting at Practice I wasn’t expecting yoga to be a big part of my life but it’s become it. I’d highly recommend giving it a shot, taking regular classes and see...
Read moreI've been going to yoga studios for 18 years and this is the first one that didn't have just one or two teachers that I liked. I've totally been into both of those, too, but post-pandemic (and 18 mos of online classes) I'm really loving how the teachers here do lots of manual adjustments and break down the structure of the poses. And I second whoever wrote about the developing community--it's just different. I'm trying to think of something negative to throw in because I never believe reviews like this but the best I can come up with is that I want a place to fill up my...
Read morePractice is true to its name! This feels like a yoga studio that is fully dedicated to enriching and furthering its students' study and craft. I'd often had a "something's off" feeling at the many studios I tried before, but at Practice I feel totally comfortable and enabled.
I think that's because every teacher I've taken classes from at Practice are so firmly rooted in the practice itself—that the practice and its alignments and movements are the conduit for the teachings yoga can offer. As a beginner I feel extremely lucky to have found Practice, because without it I may never have wanted to deepen my practice the way I do now.
Incredible, incredible instructors and the kindest owners. I'm thrilled to be part of the community...
