The worst and extremely frustrating GameStop store I have ever purchased anything from including employees and manager! Placed an order online and it was not processed until three days later! I called to find out why my order had not been processed and was told that it was not ready because she had not been in the store since Saturday and had 27 orders to fill. I spoke with Melissa who was absolutely rude and unprofessional in her nasty condescending tone! She told me that she had just processed my order and that I could come pick it up. She had no Customer Service skills whatsoever and didnāt want to hear what I had to say! She asked did I want her to cancel the order and I told her no that I did not want to cancel my order and I never said that I did! She told me my order was ready and that I could go pick it up at any time! When I go pick up my order, they could not find my order because it was canceled! She told me that I had to call Customer Service because she couldnāt locate my order. The GameStop customer service agent told me that someone canceled my order. Itās obvious that my order was canceled on purpose because I had received an email at 3:30 am telling me that my order was ready for pick up! Never did I receive an email stating that my order had been canceled! Iāve read other reviews about her, and itās obvious she needs to be terminated from her position as she has no business being in retail or dealing with the public! Her staff follows in tow, as they lack the intelligence and ability to perform their job duties. Horrible customer service from the employee named William that was working tonight. Not a simple "Hello" back when we first entered. Just a blank stare. First red flag. Second, William didn't even offer us any help when we were looking for a certain game as he just watched us... Came time to purchase our Nintendo switch console & he was just overall unfriendly / weird vibe. Seemed like He didn't know what he was doing because he didn't and wouldn't honor a $25 off promo that is clearly on the website. Just said there was 'nothing he can do' . When asked about the return policy he didn't know what he was talking about. Apparently according to him there's a no return / exchange on pre owned consoles. Website states otherwise. We asked if the console isn guaranteed to work and he said NO. He then tried to pressure us into purchasing the warranty / insurance which would have been another $50-$100 if I said yes. I got confirmation for said game that it was ready for pick up but when I show up this new game is already opened and they don't have case for new game that is opened. Which brings up curious question. They always seem to have new version of games cheaper than used version of games but all the new games are sold out and only have used games. My question is are they purposely opening new games to sell at higher price? Seems a bit suspicious. Perhaps in good faith when running a sale drop used games to 20% less than listed new games price temporarily. On top of everything would not recognize elite status for ordering from store to home. Finally the sales person called a store about 5 miles away and they secured me a new sealed copy of game. If sale runs for a limited time take online orders for game until that limited time is up. I'm almost sure if you tell most people buying hey I can honor the 50% off but it may take a few weeks until it is back in stock or pay $20 more for used copy today the person buying would probably say I can wait.
