Yesterday I received my Roger + Chris order of a Higgins sofa, armchair, and two ottomans, and I just wanted to share my positive experience. I am extremely pleased with the end result, to say the least. The Cannes silver sage color looks stunning in person, the craftsmanship is fantastic, the firmness level matched our request, and my husband and I both find the furniture comfortable to sit in for prolonged periods of time.

I placed my order on June 20, 2023, which was an easy process thanks to the advice of the sales lady who assisted me via email. When the order was underway I received an email stating that I would receive regular status updates; my one minor gripe is that I did not receive further status updates via email (other than the message that the furniture was complete and invoice for final payment); however whenever I called in and inquired about my order, I did promptly receive the updates I was seeking about where my order was at in the process. Their website does say to expect about a 6 month lead time to complete an order, and my experience matched this expectation.

On January 3, 2024 I received the email stating that my furniture was completed, and then D&D Delivery services delivered our order on February 26, 2024. The payment options for delivery were cash, cashier's check (not a personal check), or money order. Everything looked perfect and beautiful. The whole process took about 8 months from placing the order to having furniture in hand, however once again this is custom furniture with white glove delivery (meaning they bring it into your house, place it where you want, and remove all packaging for you), for an extremely reasonable price considering I've seen other Chesterfield sofas/armchairs go for similar prices (or more) without any customization options. And you can truly customize everything -- the dimensions, the fabric, the color, the feet, the nails, the firmness -- exactly to your wishes and specifications.

Overall I'm thrilled with our furniture and would strongly recommend Roger + Chris to anyone else seeking high quality custom furniture that will look beautiful and last a lifetime. My living room has never...

I ordered the Higgins sofa (in cognac leather) in February with extremely high hopes. Roger + Chris posted certain expected delays on their website due to supply chain issues, so I expected the sofa would be, as they advertised, completed on a longer timetable, 3-4 months. To my dismay, it was not completed for 6 months. When I reached out to the company at month 4 for assistance, the customer service professional was honestly rude and unhelpful.

The sofa was, at long last, completed in August and shipped through a third party vendor. The vendor called one month after the sofa was completed and offered only a single date, October 01, to receive shipment: unfortunately, because I was not unavailable on that date (attending a funeral), the shipment was further delayed.... It finally arrived in December and is not nearly as well made or beautiful as its extraordinary price tag would suggest. Not only is the furniture substandard, the entire customer service and shipping experience is unforgivably taxing. Please, avoid the heartache of ordering from Roger + Chris. — UPDATE: Readers, kindly take note that I did contact the manufacturer and received the same flippant and uninterested response regarding production as you’ll see in this response. Note as well that it doesn’t matter what a competitor is doing: it matters what you communicate to your customer. We ordered the Higgins split bench Sofa in Gramercy Fiji velvet with matching ottoman Ordered 8/2022 Recd 3/23. The nailhead trim is on the front and sides. However the back of the sofa doesn’t not have any trim and looks incomplete. Extremely UNCOMFORTABLE. The seats are oddly firm, not thick and have lost the full appearance. I do not recommend this as a lounging sofa. More just to look at sofa. The fabric 8 months later already looks worn. During the process we did not get updated unless requested. R&C are masterful at marketing and that is it. Once you purchase, the product is an afterthought. No paperwork at delivery or end of sale follow up from R&C. The delivery company had us sign their paperwork and that was all. Idk but when spending almost 5k on something custom maybe a little enjoy your new furniture note from R+C and a little fabric care sheet would be a nice touch.
