Absolutely terrible experience with GameStop in Easton. Attempted to purchase a DS memory card for the advertised, ticketed price of 44.99. When the cashier rang it up, $63.59 popped up on the register. I was quickly told this must have been changed yesterday or something and there's nothing we can do to change the price. I simply started to say, you should really change the price tag rather than falsely advertise the price. Another employee jumped in and said, there is nothing we can do about it, we have no control over what price is put in. We can get fired if we try to change anything by the store manager. Rather than cause a scene with my 9 year old son next to me so excited he can now play his games and not worry about data limits , I walked out knowing if that's the culture of how management runs their store, it's not the employee's fault. It's much bigger than that. Try empowering the staff to do the right thing and thank them when they do or if they make the wrong decision, thank them anyway and explain to them how to do it better next time. It's very sad to see there are still companies and managers out there using the fear factor style of management. That was a first and last visit to Easton GameStop. The price tag has been 44.99 since 11/23/24 as shown in the picture. I'm almost certain nobody manically raised the price at midnight!!

Read moreBEWARE!!! I have often had great experiences at GameStop and I am a pro rewards member(it’s a great value), but this particular store, and it could just be the particular manager really disrespected me today. I went in to trade in a game and buy 2k16. I also had a 5 dollar coupon for this month, so I added it.
The manager was on a phone call the entire time I was in the store and during the transaction, talking to someone else about how badly he needed to hit his numbers, and how his new hires “sucked.” I work in retail so I could kind of sympathize, although he shouldn’t have been talking about his other employees like that in front of me.
He then proceeded to think I wouldn’t notice that he put the protection on my game without even asking me if I wanted it. Every now and then I purchase it because I understand working in retail. But never have I had an employee add something to my transaction without asking me. I felt very disrespected, to thinking he thought I just wouldn’t notice is insulting. And I get it was 4 dollars but it’s the principle. That is all I have to say, just beware going to...
Read moreThis morning was the release of Pokémon Prismatic Evolutions. I was toward the end of the line of customers waiting for the store to open, and I did not end up getting anything as stock ran out, which is understandable.
However, I am beyond disappointed with the sales representative at GameStop. There was about 15-20 people in line, and only 9 items were for sale this morning from Prismatic Evlolutions. Instead of announcing this to the group, to save everyone time, the representative stayed silent while we all waited for about 20 minutes for him to sell the 9 items to those in the front of the line before saying "that's all".
As a customer I felt my time was not valued by this representative, as instead I had to wait 20 minutes to be told "we don't have enough stock for everyone".
On a separate note, with only 9 items in stock for sale today, the buy limit was 2. I don't see how this makes sense given the large demand and number of customers in line...
