This review would've been 5 stars if not for the unexpected experience I had. The Eva sweater I purchased looked great online, it looked lovely in person. Unfortunately I did not inspect it fully and put it away, cut the sales tags off too. I intended to wear it in winter; I bought it a couple of months ago. Now that it's cold where I live I took it out to wear to a family gathering. To my horror, the seams by the sleeve and pocket were gaping. Had I worn it the gaps would increase and rip quickly. I quickly wrote to Aritzia explaining what happened except I made the mistake of not specifically saying I did not wear the item. So all they could offer was a store credit instead of a refund. I was very disappointed because I wanted a refund since the sweater was obviously badly produced. It was not my fault that they sent me a faulty product yet they refused to give me a refund and only a store credit. So I would advise potential customers to check your items properly and do not cut off the tags until you are certain that the item is made to a high standard. Obviously the quality is not really there and/or it is very inconsistent at least with those alpaca wool sweaters. So I gave only one star for the prompt customer service in replying to my email complaint. I now see many recent 1* reviews regarding poor quality and terrible arguments with store staff in trying to return items. Too bad I did not come here first to read the reviews before getting into this mess.
Update of 1/5/2020: I was able to get a gift card credit for the sweater. I then used the credit to get a few items. One of them was a pair of Nico jeans. The stupid thing is that it is not accurate what the size chart and size advice notes about the jeans so they did not fit. But I snipped off the price tag before trying it on thinking they would've fit. Since they did not fit I requested to return it and get a credit to which one of their pleasant online associates (they are termed 'stylist') started the return process for me. But because I emailed again just to be honest and said that I snipped off the price tag but taped the thin plastic thread holding the price tag in place (all of the other tags were attached still) a different 'stylist' replied to say that she had stopped the return process. Now I am left with a pair of jeans that I can't wear & Aritzia has pocketed the cost of those jeans. Why she felt she had to override the first stylist's decision is beyond comprehension considering she's just a peer and not management. Furthermore, what's the big deal anyway? Just because I cut the price tag off when all they need to do is take 1-2 seconds and reattach the price tag with their machine.
So please do not patronize this store at all. They make it very difficult for anyone to return items for not only a cash refund but also for a store credit! So beware. No other store has this sort of...
Read moreThis review is specifically for my experience with Gigi at the Market Street Aritzia in SF. Iâve gained some weight during the pandemic and after some hard work am back to a place I feel confident in my body and wanted to treat myself to some clothing at Aritzia that made me feel amazing. I walked in today and was immediately greeted by Gigi and her warmth. I had a bunch of items I wanted to try on and told her I was basically wanting to try on everything in the store. She asked if I was visiting and I told her that todays shopping trip was because I am feeling good about my body and wanting to celebrate that today. Well let me tell you- I have never been treated more kindly in a retail store. Gigi came to find me several times throughout the store to take my new items to the fitting room. Not only that but she started pulling outfits she thought I would like. IN MY SIZE! When I had done my final sweep I went to the fitting room and she had paired all the many things I had pulled and organized them into outfits for me so I could try them on as full looks! We spent a good deal of time looking for the right fit of pant and she made several trips to find alternate sizes and colors. It is so clear she enjoys styling people and her kindness made me feel beautiful and fashionable through what felt like a personal shopping experience. At the end I told her how meaningful it was to have her with me during this. When you donât feel like yourself, going into a store like Aritzia can feel really overwhelming. Gigi made my experience feel safe and enjoyable and supported. She gave me a hug before leaving and Iâve been feeling so hyped up all day. Thank you Gigi for making an otherwise daunting experience so fun and safe. You totally made my day! All retail stores should...
Read moreI was completely shocked by the unprofessional behavior displayed by the manager, Apuri, during my recent visit. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she immediately became defensive and accused me of yellingâwhen in reality, I was simply expressing my disappointment over a failed promise made by the store.
Instead of trying to help, she made the costumer look poorly. Immediately; she got defensive and aggressive as I asked her name.
To make matters worse, she attempted to mislead me by claiming that my order had been properly delivered, when in fact, I was given the same dress with the same rip. When I questioned her about this, she raised her voice at me, escalating the situation unnecessarily. Her aggression and unprofessionalism were unacceptable, and it was clear that the cashier felt compelled to side with her.
A true professional would have handled the situation calmly and respectfully rather than causing a scene. It was disappointing to witness such poor customer service, especially from someone in a leadership position. I expected better, and this experience has made me seriously question how someone with such poor conflict resolution skills holds a...
