Gamestop is the worst to get grading done. I turned mine in November 2024 did not see them for over 6 months even though the policy is 45 days. Then someone who worked there stole all the cards and got fired right after my batch was finally sent in January 2025. That whole 2 months no told me my cards were not sent or that someone had stolen cards. I went to the store at least 6-7 times to find out where my cards were before new staff was hired and they told me what happened. Then when they finally said they were done being graded (in late April 2025) the email said they were in New Jersey while I live in California. I called to get help from my local store they just kept telling me to wait or that they don't know if another store had them. So I called New Jersey myself just to see if they had my cards.. they luckily did at this point im highly upset because months went by and the value of the cards was about 3k. They said they were sitting in the shop for a month and it was good I called because they were going to have to do something about them soon. They tell me they cant send me the cards directly so they have to contact the store I bought them for and will ship them out the next day. They end up shipping them out a week later because they couldn't figure out the store code in the machine. Called them back like hey did you send them because its been a week they tell me that and then tell me they had 2 other orders for California and my store had a box of cards that were graded for new Jersey. I ended up getting my cards the next week at the start of May. They would of just either let my cards sit there or eventually stole them to sell themselves due to the time limit to pick up or the workers would of got to take them. I give a 2.5 stars for other services making this place not as horrible but they still are not a place for...
Read moreThis review is for how GameStop handled their Black Friday next generation console release, with both the ps5 and Xbox X being very hard to come by and major retailers selling out in seconds, today was GameStop’s day to sell them, they advertised and sent out statements saying to expect GameStop’s to have next gen consoles in stock, I arrived at around 6:15AM and waited in line until 7AM amongst plenty of others, at 6:50am a GameStop employee told everyone to make a single file line, as everyone’s hopes were building up, at 7:05AM a GameStop employee came out and said there are NO PS5’s and TWO Xbox’s, and the entire crowd of 100+ people left instantly, no where on the front door did GameStop say how many consoles they had, and they let everyone sit outside for hours and hours just to tell us when they open that there are no consoles, which is ridiculous because it’s obvious why there is line outside GameStop, it’s not for the funko pops and PS4 controllers, it’s for the PS5 and XBOX, How hard was it for a worker to inform the 100+ people there were ZERO PS5’s and TWO Xbox’s? Complete WASTE of time, there needed to be information posted that there will be no consoles upon opening and at the very least someone to tell people there aren’t any, now a days you can’t do that to the average consumer, last thing we want to hear after waiting in line for hours is you never had the item to begin with, that’s a recipe for disaster, this GameStop is great BESIDES the next gen console release, it’s in no way the fault of the employees with how many consoles they get, but there should have been more communication to avoid...
