GameStop — Local services in Santa Fe Springs

Just went to this GameStop and it’s awful. I don’t game as often as I used to because of school so I only get a couple games a year. This employee, Caroline, is getting on my case asking “Why did you let your membership expire?” like if a GameStop membership is the most important thing in my life. I respond “I don’t come here as often as I used to”, then they go back on my history saying “well you were here in June, and I see that you came a few months before that, why don’t you just renew?” I’m trying to keep my cool but the whole time I’m like I don’t want to renew I just want my game. After 10 mins of holding my game hostage and not taking no for an answer, they finally gave in and let me have my game. Seriously, Caroline, no means no, no matter what context it’s in. I have to go back in October because I paid off my COD game in full, but after this, I’m just going to Target or doing online shopping. My brother did a Switch 2 preorder and was given false information on trade in values. He was told he had until the day of pickup to do the promotional extra $$$ trade in. Turns out there was a deadline and they would not honor the value. The representative we talked to in store said they were aware that the other employee had given MULTIPLE customers the wrong information . So their mistake cost him $60, they would do nothing to make it right. We were told they sent an email to the district manager and they would respond if they felt necessary.
