Learn from my mistakes: If the eyelash extensions cost ⅓ of what other places charge, it's not a bargain. Something is wrong.
I'd come here a couple of times to get eyelash extensions from Lisa, and they were pretty good. Then the last time I went in, I don't know what happened, but not only were the lashes too thick, but many of them were glued to the skin on my eyelids instead of glued on my eyelashes. It hurt, and the pain would have gotten worse if my eyelashes had started to grow out, pulling my eyelid skin with them. They next day, I went to another place and paid $65 to spend 1½ hours getting them removed (which broke a lot of my natural eyelashes), and then one of my eyes was infected, so the next day I paid $25 for antibiotic eyedrops for my eyes. I went back to Golden Nails and asked for a refund of just what I'd spent on the extensions, but they would only give me a gift certificate for the price of the extensions, not including the tip—and that was after I argued. I don't want to go back there, so now I'm out a lot of money and have a useless gift certificate.
I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because at least I did get the gift certificate. Maybe I can sell it below face value to someone else who wants their nails done, or something. Mistakes happen, but I wish they had returned my actual cash money that I had paid, especially since the ordeal ended up costing me a...
Read moreThe people here are so nice and sweet and I hate to give them a one-star review but it seems that no matter how many times you tell them or try to explain even in the most sweetest way to please file the nails in similar shapes (meaning all the nails should be square round if that's what you're looking for and not half of them square and some others fully round, etc). Unfortunately there seems to be some inconsistency and talent levels at this location. Some of the nail artists are very capable and do amazing work. Once a gal sitting close by getting acrylic nails with pretty elaborate designs looked really nice but not sure how long it would last. A simple mani/pedi here is below average and $55-$60 if your manicure is gel/shellac. If you're in a pinch and need to stay in the Uptown area, I prefer this place over Diamond Nails down the street for...
Read moreThey were all Asian at this nail salon and it was very hard to communicate. took my 81 year-old sister, checked her out from her nursing home and went out to get her a little manicure which just consisted of cutting nails and filing. They charge $10 . I thought it was pretty reasonable, but I had called another nail salon and they wanted $85 just to simply cut nails and file no polish nothing else no massage. Before this salon I had called another salon and they wanted $85, boy what a rip off I know everything is expensive in Seattle but I really think that's a rip off ! I'm back home in Austin Texas but if I can find the other salon that I called first that was a rip off ! at first Salon I called I'll let you know. By the way, the nail salon that I took my sister to is called dragon...
