About two or three weeks ago I bought a pair of ASTRO A10s from logitech in this GameStop location with a gift card I received on my birthday. The headphones worked fine up until a few days ago when the left earcup started having issues with audio output every time I moved my head, and today I went to return the headset. As I go to the store they ask me for a reciept which I tell them Iāve lost. Afterwards they checked my GameStop account which now was under a different name and email utilizing my personal phone number. After some back and forth about policies with the GameStop employees I ask for a manager and the employee taking my visit reveals to be the store manager. He doubles down on the policy jargon and turns his back on me to talk with a friend of his that was visiting him at the store. In the end, nothing was settled even after calling customer support and filing a claim on the phone as not only my GameStop account is still under a strangerās information but also Iām unable to either follow up with the claim or return my equipment for a working product. Yes, GameStop support wonāt give a follow up number to my claim and only contact the employees at the store. Also all of this happened when I was attempting to do an exchange for a greater value item that I was more than willing to pay the difference for. Finally, I would also like to say that I was unable to return two items that I received for my birthday because I did not have the receipt in this same date of Saturday April 22, 2023. This is outrageous and predatory behavior from GameStop against their customers as who in the right mind gives someone a receipt for their gifts. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would never wish it upon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe employee named Alfredo completely lied to me and refused to honor gamestops return policy. I came in on the seventh day to return a defective ps4 and he adamantly refused to honor their return policy which said to return within 7 days. I called gamestops corporate number and had them confirm that I was indeed there on the seventh day and was within their return policy. He went to the back room several times to āsee what he could doā only to come out and say he cannot accept a return. He admitted that he didnāt call or talk to anyone when he went in the back because if he did he wouldāve gotten the answer I received which is that I was within the return window. Heās a liar and a cheat and should not have the authority he has. The other game stop employee agreed with me but could not do anything for fear that Alfredo would reprimand him. I ended up calling another game stop who refunded me even though I didnāt purchase it through them. I was and still am dumbfounded that Alfredo took it upon himself to refuse gamestops own return policy. Heās a power hungry crook and Iāll never support this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI read the reviews but shame on me for not taking the advice. Went in to get some card sleeves and the sales associate, Tyler, said hey are you into PokĆ©mon and I said sure. He then proceeded to ask if I like posters and I said sure, as sometimes they offer free promos to customers. He went in the back and brought two PokĆ©mon poster packs. I was delighted on getting some swag as I was renewing my pro membership and asked if that was renewal gift, he said no. Thinking nothing of it I completed my transaction and was happy that he got my son and me some Pokemon swag. After getting in the car I reviewed the receipt to discover that I was charged 45 dollars for the PokĆ©mon and my pro membership was not even renewed. I immediately went back to explain the situation and told Tyler that he was being deceptive to accumulate sales. I was unable to get my money back, as per GameStopās return policy, and ultimately was very unsatisfied with this experience. I will be contacting and filing an official complaint. Buyers beware and hoping GameStop has some accountability...
