Extremely friendly staff welcoming customers and announcing a 50% off sale, buuut not much you should buy WITHOUT the 50% off sale present. While there were definitely some quality pieces that deserved their price tag (some gorgeous silk shirts or denim items for example), there were many that were just a little confusing. A stained white turtleneck for $49.99, a torn knit sweater for $79.99, dresses with pit stains or rips priced over $100, pilling knits for $60, and items with tags still on were generally priced at just $10 less than their original cost… very confusing pricing that tells me maybe you’re supposed to negotiate? Though maybe it’s priced for the fairly wealthy neighbourhood it’s in and this complaint might just be related to my demographic and the types of consignment and vintage stores I usually shop at.
The selection was fairly good (comparable to what I find in vintage shops where I live in Montreal) and again the person there running the till was VERY kind, but the pricing is a little...
Read moreSpoke to a person on the phone on Monday, told me the owner "James" takes in new inventory on Tuesday and I think Friday so bring your items in at 11a, I had a large 65gallon bin and a smaller bin with just shirts and sweaters. Sat there from 11a till 2p and no one ever showed up, I called a couple times and left messages while I waited with no call or reply back, called a couple more times during the day just to see what happened and still no answer. Called the next morning and the owner James answered and I explained what happened yesterday and his tone was very rude and he didn't even care to address why his shop wasn't open and NEVER even apologized, I have a certain style of clothing so that's why I sought out a black owned consignment shop. I'm not gonna do the stereotypical black business narrative because there are plenty of us that conduct business properly, on-time and professionally BUT THIS GUY...
Read moreDo any of you know how difficult it is to find a women's 100% virgin wool suit? I've been looking for one for ages and they almost literally cost an arm and a leg nowadays. I've searched high and low in over 10+ countries, but I've never found a good deal. I strolled in here on a whim and lo-and-behold, I found a beautiful Pendleton suit IN MY SIZE! I am a very petite woman so I'll of course need some minimal tailoring, but I am so happy with my find. The price was incredibly fair for the pristine quality it was in.
The clerk was incredibly kind and informed me of the sale they had going on. He also had a really beautiful playlist on and did not gatekeep the artist. Unfortuntaly for y'all, I will...
