The older lady working the n liquor store seems to have a customer service issue and appear to be under the influence. I asked for a simple replay of my powerball ticket with the winning numbers from my old ticket. She starts getting angry with me saying she cant replay my ticket and I need to fill out a new card. She says, you can’t replay tickets I try to explain how she can replay my ticket as she has already redeemed my winnings ticket. She gets confused and turns nasty and gives me both my ticket and the ticket saying my winnings and tells me to have customer service help me. Then as I walk out the door she says under her breathe “ I guess I’m keeping your four dollars”. I turn back and said “ you told me to use customer service for my transportation and gave my the print out of my winnings to collect inside the store”. She tells me I’m ridiculous and asked for the receipt saying she owes me the four dollars. Once she gets the ticket she refuses to give me my money and call for a manager. I got upset, started to yell back at this point and told this lady she had no business being in customer service. At this point Matt walks in and starts treating me like I’m crazy. I try and explain this employee has my money and refuses to give the money to me and he just says it’s Easter weekend. Let’s be nice! What?..... I just want my money and to leave I tell him. It still takes him a few minutes to have this lady give back my money. All the time he is badgering me and all I want to do is leave and never return. I asked for the store manager and he tells me he was the store manager. If this is true, this would be why your company is not doing well. You have not the first idea how to take care of...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal Winn Dixie shopper for 21 years. I moved to Tarpon Springs 2 years ago and switched from my store in Odessa to the Tarpon store. I am a white woman in her 50s and have always received good service at the Tarpon store. This Sunday I was hosting my daughter’s birthday party and asked two of her friends to make a run to the liquor store for me while I cooked. One of the boys is Hispanic the other Haitian. I have known these boys for years and not only are they both polite but real gentleman. The clerk in the liquor store initially refused to help them find what they needed and then became not just dismissive but rude. The boys left the store and came back to the house. I called the store manager and he stated he was annoyed by the situation and wanted it to be over. He said his clerk told him the boys were loud and cursing. I asked if he reviewed the camera footage and he said all he could tell was that the boys came in briefly and then left. The young men are both 25. I told him that customers should be treated with respect regardless of age of ethnicity. He said he was not willing to address the situation further. I told him that I will drive to my store in Odessa rather than shop at his store, which is walking distance from my home. This kind of behavior is...
Read moreI don't know what I am more disappointed in the fact that the coupon showed a discount through the first of the year was a typo per the cashier OR the fact that Emily (cashier) admitted that she didn't have a long enough nap causing her to show no interest in resolving this quandary. No compassion, no empathy, not even an apology for misleading the public on pricing of a product. After I was obviously frustrated she was even more disinterested in resolving the matter. When I moved to Palm Harbor almost two years ago I really liked this place because the employees were so nice...better than Publix IMO. Then I met Emily today of all days on Thanksgiving Day. Please someone coach her! Customer service is about the customer NOT the other way around. When she behaves this way she is letting her peers down, letting the company down, and losing a customer is losing revenue. I'll get over the coupon fiasco it's $3 more than I expected to pay but to be treated without respect and diplomacy and the willingness to help... that experience causes me to rethink my options and spend those dollars at Publix where I know I'll be treated better. My transaction was 11/24/16 10:32AM 2531 5 86 is what it says on my receipt. Happy...
