I like the convenience of this location; but after my most recent experience, I will no longer be returning.
I went to Kroger in anticipation of a quick trip for some pizza and beer. I quickly grabbed my 3 items (6-pack + 2 pizzas). Upon arriving at the register, I noticed that they had all already been shut down and only self scan was open. A little annoyed seeing as it was only 9pm, I went to the self check out.
Upon scanning my 3 items; I noticed that both pizzas, which were on sale, had rung up at the full price. I then waited for the self check attendant to return to check my ID for the beer and tell him that the price was wrong and the pizzas were actually on sale.
After looking at me like I was a thief and judging my request with attitude; he claims that he will go check the price.
I notice him going in the complete wrong direction as the frozen isle was maybe 20 feet away from me, so I went over to the isle and took a picture of the tag below the pizza.
Once I returned to the check out counter, the attendant was nowhere to be found. All the while, the acting store manager and another employee are just standing there watching and chit chatting.
I continue to look around for this guy, now growing more annoyed, as other customers too need assistance to complete their transactions.
The attendant finally returns and tells me that the beer was priced correctly. I told him that I never said anything about the beer, and was only talking about the pizza and showed him the picture of the pizza and the tag.
The attendant immediately starts making excuses and begins to argue with me that I have the wrong item, (I assure you that I have triple checked by now, for I did go back and take the picture). At this point, I look at him, tell him that there is absolutely no way and that there was only 1 item, and 1 tag there.
I tell him that this was growing far too inconvenient and I was not going to stand there and let an incompetent worker tell me that I was lying or trying to steal from them, and to please cancel my transaction for I will be going elsewhere with my business.
As I start to walk away, I notice that the manager and the other employee still have yet to get off of their asses and help remedy neither my situation nor that of the 3 other customers with their check out machines yelling at them.
I call this poor management and pure laziness. Unacceptable. ...
Read moreThe small Kroger Store on Main Street has really fallen into decline. This is so disappointing. Please be advised that they stock the shelves with expired products. You have to check the dates on all the perishable food products. Mayo, Lunch meats, milk, salad dressings and especially prepackaged deli meats, cheese and seafood. The cashiers and even the Customer Service desk staff are rude and dismissive. This store is close to my home so for convience I will stop there but today has changed my mind. I purchased some groceries and pet supplies and the cashier was talking to another customer and not paying attention to what she was doing she moved the separater bar and still talking to the other customer she started scanning my groceries before she had even totaled the other customer so then she had to rescan my groceries to correct the other customers purchases. She never even looked at me or said anything to me. Then she apparently put some of my groceries in a bag next to her but she failed to give it to the sacker so that he could put it in my basket. I got home and put my groceries away and realized I was missing some of my pet food. I went back to the store and asked for my missing items and she mumbled something about having the sacker restock the items she fully knew I had already paid for! She told me to go get the items myself. From now on I will just take the extra time and drive to the Kroger...
Read moreAllows non-service dogs into their store Which I know is against company policy. Not only is allowing non-service dogs into your store a health code violation. It’s also a liability risk because if someone came in there with a service dog and someone just happened to come in there with their pet dog and that pet dog wound up going up to that dog and trying to play with it and hurting that dog, the Company and the owner would get in trouble and not only that ,there is another issue. That dog wound up, barking up a storm and distracting a service dog, and the person of the service dog wound up going into a medical issue, and that service dog was unable to Tend and perform their tasks for that person because they were so distracted by someone else’s pet dog again the owner and the company could be at fault(The Company And management at fault for allowing someone to bring their dog, And the owner for bringing their dog in). Also, it is illegal in the state of Texas to allow people to bring in their Pet dog. So not only is this Kroger’s breaking the law by allowing people to bring their pet dogs into their store, They are causing the health code violation. Kroger’s In The colony,...
