This is by far one of the worst GameStop locations I have encountered. The manager is extremely rude and makes every effort to ensure warranty replacements are fulfilled with refurbished or used units, even for consoles that are only a couple of months old and in nearly new condition. When I explained that my console was only two months old and asked if the replacement could be of similar age and condition, his response was: âYouâre not returning a new console, so why would we replace it with a new console?â â delivered with an unnecessarily condescending attitude.
I purchased the warranty with the expectation that, in the event of a manufacturing defect, I would receive a replacement of equal value and condition. GameStop has since changed its policy to provide ârefurbishedâ units, which is simply another term for used devices â potentially several years old and with an unknown history.
This change is unacceptable. The main reason I previously chose GameStop over competitors such as Best Buy, Walmart, or Amazon was the in-house warranty program and the assurance of a new replacement for defective products. Now, Best Buyâs TotalTech membership offers better protection, providing up to 24 months of coverage for qualifying items, including consoles.
I will no longer shop at this location and now travel farther to other GameStop stores where customer service is still valued. I cannot recommend this location to anyone until they reevaluate their priorities and replace the current manager. The combination of poor policy changes and poor management is driving away loyal customers like myself who have spent thousands annually on gaming products and accessories.

The employee of the store not only waited on one guy who got in line after me but went to take another before I got super upset and told him I was leaving. I had to call three times before the guy would answer the phone and when he did I let him know I was the lady who was waiting and you kept taking people ahead of me. He said he was sorry but when he asked who was next because they threw themselves at the counter he waited on them before me. I asked if he was refusing to help me and he said no but admitted to seeing me wait to be helped but still took the two guys before me.
The more incredible thing about this is I went to the same store the day before and there was a woman employee and I wasn't even in line but she saw me and knew that I was waiting for help so helped me as soon as she was done with the person in line she was waiting on even though someone had come in after me and went straight to the line. So I would really love to know why that guy who admitted to seeing me wait still did not want to wait on me.

I'm not negating experiences of others however, this has been my #1 GS location since 2003 and honestly, I love shopping here. The staff is very patient and nice. They treat me like a human and not as a dollar to be gained. Normally they have everything I'm looking for but lately their stock is lower due to these social isolation rules due to covid. Occasionally, (it is rare but it happens) they hire an employee who acts as if they're doing customers a favor by gracing us with their presence and can be quite misleading and rude. I was there 2-3 times this week and so far no one currently working there holds this mentality. They were rather affected by covid and many items are not in stock but that is beyond their control. They will call other GS locations to locate your item or you can request they call you when it comes in.
