Notice that this shop was bursting at the seams with bulk, surplus, seconds and rejected material. A massive amount of the building supplies are getting slowly ruined and degraded by the lack of organization and obsessive rain. Noticed he had a massive amount of windows that haven’t seen the surface of the pile in years. So I wanted to make a bulk deal with the owner, Rodney, for a bulk window price. He wouldn’t budge, which is fine, but there are better surplus stores down in Asheville that will work with you on bulk pricing.

1 star because the store was packed to the gills without care, obviously the integrity of his building supplies didn’t matter, and horrible...

Needed a new microwave. So....the wifey goes and picks out a nice Samsung. Their usual deal is 1/2 price of what Lowe’s sells for. We pay 321.00 for “new” microwave. Get it home and there’s a tag in it where the POS was on sale for 159.00 due to not having all the mounting brackets, so it was on clearance. That microwave should not have been priced at 300 dollars plus tax. I have no issues with making a dollar, but this is BS. I call and leave a vmail and never heard a word. We should have gotten that microwave for 80.00, which is HALF OF WHAT LOWES had it priced at, or somewhere thereabouts. Definitely won’t...

These folks always have given the friendliest service and great prices on items I have purchased. In this high priced economy we need to be supporting the local businesses more than the "BIG BOX" stores..."BIG BUCKS" store is really the correct way to say it. If you need good prices " who you gona see" Coats Surplus! Help the local people as much as you can.
