It’s been almost a month since I arrived in Chambéry, and wow—this place is gorgeous! 🌄 When I got here in early July, it was a bit warm, but with a fan, it was totally fine. Now? I leave the window open at night and end up freezing! ❄️ The locals are super polite—especially at crosswalks, where drivers always stop for pedestrians (even when I try to let them go first… oops 😅). #Carrefour 🛒 Chambéry is full of Carrefour supermarkets—there’s one every few steps! 🚶‍♂️ Other great stores here include: The biggest Carrefour (of course) Lidl (the German discount chain) Fresh produce markets 🍎 Asian grocery stores 🥢 Hyper U (a French hypermarket) Les Halles de Chambéry (Savoie Market) 🧀 Decathlon (for sports gear) ⚽ You can find almost anything here! #Croissant 🥐 My first filled croissant was a revelation—so flaky, so delicious! Now I’m hooked. 😍 My go-to breakfast? Two croissants + a glass of milk—simple and perfect. Oh, and the milk here? Dirt cheap. I drink it like water! 🥛😂 #Walking 🚶‍♂️ The best part of Chambéry? You can walk everywhere! The city center is so compact that you can explore it all in 30 minutes. At first, I took the bus… but honestly? Walking is faster (and way more scenic)! 😆 Now I only use the bus for longer trips. Sure, Chambéry is small—but as the capital of Savoie, it’s got everything you need! 🏙️✨ "Small but mighty!"
