Stepping through the Torii marks the entrance to the divine realm. 🌸🌺🌿 In Izu, I made a special trip to the coastal Torii of Shirahama Shrine; 🌊🏯 At Ōmuroyama, I stumbled upon a red Torii amidst the green mountains; 🌄🌲 🌸🌺🌿 In Hakone, I visited the Hakone Shrine and its peaceful (water) Torii. 🌁🏞️ Torii, akin to Chinese archways, 🏛️🌉 are accessory structures to Japanese shrines, 🌸🌺🌿 symbolizing the entrance to the sacred domain, demarcating the boundary between the divine realm inhabited by gods and the secular world inhabited by humans. 🌸🌺🌿 The presence of a Torii serves as a reminder to visitors, that stepping through it signifies entering the divine realm. 🌸🌺🌿 Each time I step through a Torii, I feel a sense of reverence and tranquility, 🙏🌿 recalling those iconic scenes from animations where characters mistakenly enter the divine realm. 🌸🌺🌿 It feels as if I am a bit closer to the gods. 🌟👘 #JapanTravel #JapaneseTorii #Torii 🎌🌸
