🌅 · ☁️ · 🌙 Mt Tamalpais: A Sunset Amidst the Sea of Clouds

Coordinates: East Peak and Trojan Point It's just so incredibly soothing to enjoy the sunset amidst the sea of clouds at Mt Tamalpais just half an hour after getting off work in Sausalito! 😌 This week started off with thick fog, and it was still cloudy on Tuesday. I checked the East Peak lookout webcam to confirm the presence of the sea of clouds and decided to go for it. The 360 - degree panoramic sunset and evening glow at East Peak, with its natural color gradients paired with the sea of clouds, are simply breathtaking. At Trojan Point, you're even closer to the sea of clouds; it feels like it's right beneath your feet. Not far away, the tree canopies are wrapped in clouds and mist, and under the golden glow of the setting sun, they resemble fairy - tale castles. 😍 You can navigate to East Peak and pass by Trojan Point on the way. My strategy was to start heading up the mountain 50 minutes before the sunset at 8:35 p.m. I made a brief 5 - minute stop at Trojan Point, then drove to East Peak. After that, I did a short, 10 - minute hike to the East Peak Lookout. Once I'd fully enjoyed the panoramic sunset, I headed back to Trojan Point. There, I got to witness the color gradients after the moon rose and the sun completely set, harmonizing beautifully with the sea of clouds. #Sea of Clouds #Sunset #Evening Glow #Sunset Amidst the Sea of Clouds
