Ōhori Park Isn't Just About 🌸—Three Hidden Gems You Must Visit
Another cherry blossom season is here, and Fukuoka is in full bloom🥰Ōhori Park and Maizuru Park are the go-to spots for many, but today I want to share three hidden gems right next to Ōhori Park that will add more than just 🌸 to your happiness. Fukuoka Art Museum 🌿🌟 The iconic big pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama is right outside the museum—no ticket needed to see it (it's on the inner side closer to the park). 🎃The second-floor contemporary art gallery is filled with masterpieces, though photography is not allowed. For just 200 yen, you get to see works by Picasso, Miró, Dalí—what a rare opportunity! 🎫 200 YEN (Special exhibitions require an additional ticket) Japanese Garden Small but incredibly beautiful! This is a man-made Japanese private garden with mountains and water. 🌿🌟 The pond's water is so clear it has a greenish tint, and it's surrounded by ancient guest-welcoming pine trees🌳—it feels like stepping back in time. 🎫 400 YEN &locals 🌿🌟 A Japanese-style bistro right next to Ōhori Park, with lake views right in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. 🌊Everything is made with high-quality local ingredients, and they even sell &locals snacks and seasonings! The tamago-yaki sandwich and tofu skin rice ball are amazing! 🌿🌟 The tofu skin is filled with barley and whole grains, giving it a great chewy texture—healthy and delicious 😋The tea bowl rice with fish🐟is a bit salty, but it's quite good when eaten with nori and rice (the nori is super crispy—we even bought a pack). #Beautiful Parks in the City #Immersive Park Visits 🌿🌟
