L'Atypic: A Hidden Gem for French Cuisine in Paris 15th 🥐🦪
Staying in Paris' 15th arrondissement and wanting to visit the Eiffel Tower? This gem of a restaurant is perfectly located midway between your accommodation and the iconic landmark ⭐ With a stellar 4.6 rating on Google Maps, we knew we had to give it a try 😍 🏡 About the Restaurant: Run by a friendly Chinese-French partnership - our server was super chatty and welcoming 🤗 Digital menu with photos makes ordering a breeze 📱 Set menu option: €138 for 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts We opted for à la carte - 4 dishes for €103 total 💰 🍽️ Our Tastings: 1️⃣ Provençal Escargots 🐌 Unexpectedly comforting with sautéed peppers and eggplant beneath the snails 🌶️🍆 Tasted oddly like Chinese stir-fry - wish there was more to scoop up with rice!! [rice craving] 2️⃣ Seafood Risotto 🦪 Absolutely divine - tender scallops and perfectly creamy rice 🥹 This was our clear favorite of the meal 3️⃣ Duck Foie Gras Steak 🥩 Creative presentation: Crispy potato strings at bottom Steak in middle Foie gras on top Foie gras was lovely but steak lacked flavor 😔 Potato strings were slightly burnt - missed the mark 4️⃣ Toast with Coriander Ice Cream 🍞❄️ Interesting texture combo: Milk-soaked then pan-fried toast Topped with ice cream and toffee sauce Too sweet for our taste - couldn't finish 👥 Dining Scene: Mostly Asian diners (🇨🇳🇰🇷🇯🇵) - felt like a little piece of home in Paris ❤️ 💰 Value Check: €103 for 4 quality dishes in central Paris? Great deal!! (Though portions are modest - perfect for sharing) 📍 Location Details: L'Atypic, 15th arrondissement Perfect pre-Eiffel Tower dining spot 🗼 #FrenchGastronomy #ParisDining #HiddenGem #EiffelTowerEats #RomanticDinner #FoodieParis #AsianFriendlyParis #DinnerDateIdeas #FrenchFoodie #PetiteFork #BistroVibes #GourmetAdventures
