๐ถโโ๏ธ Strolling in Paris | Jardin du Palais Royal ๐ถโโ๏ธ
I lived in the 2nd arrondissement for a year, and Jardin du Palais Royal was the closest garden to my home. Almost every weekend, I would come here for a run, grab some Japanese ramen nearby for lunch, and then stroll through a Korean supermarket. Exercise + meal + shopping, all in one go. ๐ Garden Entrance: Rue des Petits Champs ๐ ๐น Jardin du Palais Royal (Palais Royal Garden) ๐น The history of Palais Royal dates back to the 17th century when it was the residence of the French royal family. The garden design is inspired by the Italian Renaissance style, characterized by symmetrical layouts and meticulously trimmed flower beds. There is a fountain at the center of the garden, surrounded by well-maintained hedges and flowers. Walking along the paths, you can slowly appreciate the scattered sculptures and neatly arranged rows of horticultural trees. The entire garden is very peaceful, and you can sit on a bench under the shade of a tree listening to birds singing. Often, you'll see office workers leisurely eating sandwiches and enjoying the sunshine. There's also a small pond in the garden, and of course, the surrounding area is filled with the iconic Parisian green lounge chairs that have gone viral on the internet. ๐ท Must-See Spot: 260 black and white striped columns designed by Daniel Buren ๐ท The southernmost part of the park is quite lively and has become a famous spot for social media check-ins. These black and white striped columns have become a new symbol of the garden, prompting people to stop and take photos. A tip for visitors: There's a side entrance to the Louvre that's less crowded just across the street from the columns. ๐ French Arcades: Boutiques, Cafรฉs, Galleries ๐ The east, west, and north sides of the park are lined with French arcades, filled with boutiques, cafรฉs, and galleries. For girls, even if they don't go into these shops, window shopping can bring endless satisfaction to a stroll. #ParisLife #FrenchVibe #ParisStrollGuide #ParisOlympics #ParisDaily #PalaisRoyalGarden #ParisCheckIn
