🚶♂️ Strolling Through the Park🌳
On the first weekend of the second lockdown, cherishing the daily 1km activity radius, I walked along the Seine River to the nearest riverside green space in the La Défense business district - Parc Lebaudy. 🏞️ Location: île de Puteaux 🥀 Unique Features: Nestled by the Seine, Lebaudy Park is elegant and secluded, appearing exceptionally tranquil against the backdrop of towering office buildings nearby. It's worth mentioning that this park boasts a rose garden with as many as 1,600 plants and over 200 varieties. The roses here are sought after by perfume connoisseurs for their unique fragrance and therapeutic properties, including some interesting varieties such as Charles de Gaulle, Monica Belluci, and more. In France, "rose de Puteaux" represents the highest quality of roses and has always been a favorite of pharmacies and perfumers. Alongside vineyards, rose and grape cultivation were the two major industries in western Paris at the end of the 18th century, leading to the creation of several niche perfume brands, such as Coty, the progenitor of the modern perfume industry. If you're not familiar with Coty, you must have heard of its jewelry brand, Tiffany. 🌝 Opening Hours: 9:00-19:00, suggested visit duration of more than 30 minutes 💰 Admission: Free #France #WhereToGoOnTheWeekend
