🐕‍🦺 San Francisco Dog-Friendly Guide (Part 1) | Downtown Attractions

Hey besties! Nuts’ mom’s San Francisco Dog-Friendly Guide series is officially here! 🐾 In this first part, let’s talk about how to explore downtown SF with your fur baby — safely and stylishly! 🏨 Golden Rule for Accommodation: To make your SF trip smooth and fun — location is EVERYTHING! My tip: always stay near a Cable Car stop! 👍 Highly recommend: Hyatt Regency San Francisco The location is PERFECT! Steps from the Cable Car turnaround, walkable to the Ferry Building, and relatively safe with gorgeous city views. Even Nuts slept like a little angel 🐷 (We also tried Hyatt at SOMA, but the area felt less secure). 🚎 Explore SF Classics by Cable Car! You can’t visit San Francisco without riding the Cable Car! We followed its route every day — it covers almost all the iconic spots. The “ding-ding” bell, the hilly rides… pure charm! 🤖 Future Is Here: Our First Waymo Self-Driving Ride! We’re in tech capital — of course we tried a robotaxi! Booked via app, smooth ride, steering wheel turning on its own… so sci-fi! Even Nuts looked curious 😯 Highly recommend! 🌉 Nuts’ Mom’s Must-Visit List: Ferry Building A short walk from the hotel. This bustling marketplace is full of local artisan cheese, bakeries, and crafts. Grab a Blue Bottle coffee and a pastry, sit outside by the water — so chill! ⚠️ Note: The park across gets sketchy at night. Fisherman’s Wharf You can see the lazy sea lions at Pier 39 🦭. But honestly? If you’ve been to La Jolla in San Diego — you can skip this. Union Square Luxury shopping central — but just take a quick look. Not very safe around here, lots of unhoused people. Be extra cautious with kids or pets. Golden Gate Bridge — MUST GO! 🌉 The soul of SF. No photo can capture how majestic it looks spanning the ocean and mountains. Absolutely breathtaking! Chinatown — MUST GO! 🏮 Full of history and rustic charm. Red lanterns, traditional architecture, Chinese signs — feels like time travel! And the food? We’ll dive into that in the next Food Edition! 📝 Nuts’ Mom’s Final Tips: SF downtown is small — pick the right hotel, follow the Cable Car, and you can cover all the classics! Always prioritize safety — avoid walking alone at night! #SanFranciscoTravel #SFWithDogs #CableCar #GoldenGateBridge #DogFriendlySF
