“Waiting for Old Age to Reminisce”
Museum Het Rembrandthuis 🖼️🏠 This place is such a charming little house—Rembrandt's residence in Amsterdam! 🌟 I thought it would be as hard to book as the Anne Frank House, but it turned out to be walk-in! The museum experience lasts about two and a half hours, and the interactive design and route are excellent! 🎉 Upon entering, you get a free audio guide, and each room has its corresponding explanation, so even though the venue is small, you can explore it with great enjoyment! 🎧✨ Learning about Rembrandt's life left me speechless... because it was so tragic! 😢 He experienced so many losses of loved ones throughout his life. I can’t help but wonder if this is indirectly related to his frequent self-portraits... The entire house features many areas related to painting: a studio, exhibition room, etching room, and teaching space. He was a very dedicated painter throughout his life. 🎨 The most interesting part is his collection room! 🧐 Rembrandt collected many strange yet fascinating items, largely thanks to the Dutch sailors who traveled the world. His collection includes butterfly specimens, python skins, tortoiseshell, giant clams, Dürer's paintings, coins, minerals... 🦋🐍🐢 There's also an in-depth discussion on Rembrandt's painting techniques presented in a small PPT lecture, and the gift shop has some unique items, including Rembrandt-themed soy sauce! 😅🍶 #Museum #RembrandtHouse
