【Tokyo | Tokyo Camii】
Stumbled upon this place by chance, and it turns out to be the largest mosque in Japan! 🕌 🍃🌸 It can accommodate up to 2,000 people and is open for free visits during regular times. 🌇🌟The original building was old and dilapidated, so it was demolished and rebuilt. What you see now is the reconstruction from the year 2000. 🍃🌸 Except for water, cement, and steel, all other building materials and decorations were sourced from Turkey. 🇹🇷 There are actually quite a few mosques in Japan—close to 80—but this one stands out. The design is exquisite, and the colors are bright and cheerful. It looks amazing in photos even from the outside. 🍃🌸 The second floor is the prayer hall⛪️. As you walk up the stairs, the white spaces reveal fluffy clouds, and under the sunlight, the building exudes even more charm. Visitors are required to remove their shoes before entering. Women need to wear headscarves, and remember to dress modestly. Inside the prayer hall, there is a solemn atmosphere. The ceiling is adorned with a giant chandelier, resembling a hexagram. 🍃🌸 The stained glass is particularly beautiful, and there are some scriptures by the windows. Women are also allowed upstairs, where you might see some devout Muslims praying. 🌇🌟 The place isn't very large, so a quick tour in about half an hour is enough. #Tokyo #TokyoCamii #TokyoGreatMosque 🌇🌟
