✈️ Flight Report: Used 20,000 Qantas points + $200 AUD taxes for a one-way trip: Brisbane ➝ Nadi, Fiji 🇫🇯 ➝ Apia, Samoa 🇼🇸 (Fiji Airways). 🚗 Transport: Taxi: Airport transfer 80 WST (~$40 AUD), city rides ~10 WST. Car Rental: None available (high season!) – ended up hiring a private driver for 400 WST (~$240 AUD). Later found out you can bargain down to 250 WST! 😅 🏨 Accommodation: Lava Hotel: ¥2900/3 nights (walkable to beach & downtown). Sheraton Apia: 50k points/3 nights (regretted not booking!). Tauese Seaview Hotel: Chinese-owned, prime location – highly recommended! 🍽️ Food & Drinks: Tauese Restaurant: Best Chinese food in Samoa! (~50 WST/person). McDonald’s: Double Aussie prices – ouch! 🍟💸 Taumeasina Hotel: Saturday Buffet (Fiafia Night!): $99 AUD – Poke bowls + Fire Knife Dance Show! 🔥🌅 Bonus: The resort’s peninsula hosts the Japanese Ambassador’s residence – stunning views! 🏝️ Must-See Spots: ⛪ Immaculate Conception Cathedral: "Most beautiful church in the South Pacific!" 🛍️ Fugalei Market: Biggest local market (but I didn’t buy much 😂). 🌿 Friendship Park: Donated by Huizhou, China – behind the tourist center. 📮 General Post Office: Samoa’s only post office! (Cash-only, sent a postcard to China – no idea when it’ll arrive! 📜). 🌊 To Sua Ocean Trench: Lonely Planet Top 10 MUST-VISIT – unreal turquoise pool! (Scenic drive too!). 💡 Final Thoughts: Samoa is a hidden gem (well, not that hidden – lots of Aussie/Kiwi tourists 😆).
