๐๏ธ "Canada's Matterhorn - BC's Alpine Paradise of Snowy Peaks, Lakes, and Wildflowers ๐ธ
๐๏ธ Mount Assiniboine, known as "Canada's Matterhorn," is a stunning peak in the Rocky Mountains, located at the border of British Columbia and Alberta. ๐ธ I was fortunate to arrive before the wildfire smoke and haze, capturing the beauty of the snowy mountains, lakes, and wildflowers. This note is a collection of wildflowers with snowy peaks. Hiking Routes: ๐ถโโ๏ธ Assiniboine Pass (Inbound Route): Starting from the Mount Shark parking lot in Alberta, this trail is approximately 27 km long and is one of the main access routes into the park. Along the way, you'll enjoy a rich array of wildlife and breathtaking mountain views. ๐ถโโ๏ธ Wonder Pass (Outbound Route): This is a scenic yet challenging path, about 28 km long, passing by the beautiful Wonder Lake and Marvel Lake, making it an ideal choice for photography enthusiasts. Viewing Points: ๐ The Nublet: The best spot to admire Mount Assiniboine, and where most of my photos were taken. My Camping Spot: ๐๏ธ Lake Magog Campground: The most popular camping area in the Mount Assiniboine region, offering amenities like toilets and storage boxes. Campers can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Assiniboine and the surrounding peaks. My 5-day itinerary was centered around this location, exploring various hiking trails in the vicinity. #ClassicHiking #MustHikeInThisLifetime #TravelDiary #SummerSnaps #SlowPaceOutdoors #OutdoorImageryWeek #VancouverAdventures #VancouverHiking #NewOutdoorTransition"
