โ๏ธ April Ski Trip: East Coast โ Aspen Snowmass ๐ฟ
โ๏ธ Newark Airport โ Denver Airport ๐ Picked up rental car at DEN โ ๏ธ Night Drive Alert: Drove from Denver via I-70 to our Airbnb near Aspen โ hit a snowstorm, car spun out and crashed into trees off the highway ๐ Took 8 hours with towing and traffic (normally 3.5 hours!). โจ๏ธ Iron Mountain Hot Springs Soaked in warm outdoor pools with gorgeous views ๐๏ธ โ but stepping out was freezing! Ended up buying a cozy robe. โท๏ธ Day 1 โ Skiing Big Burn & Sheer Bliss Blue and black runs from the summit were surprisingly gentle and fun! High altitude + powdery snow = a good workout ๐ช Stunning views up top, but seriously windy! โท๏ธ Day 2 โ Elk Camp Area Beautiful morning views โ๏ธ โ then it started snowing heavily in the afternoon. Visibility dropped, but the falling snow was magical! ๐ Lunch at Elk Camp: Their steak is a must-try โ so flavorful! โท๏ธ Day 3 โ Copper Mountain Headed out early to avoid I-70 traffic. Copper is known for attracting pros (even Eileen Gu trains here! ๐). After Snowmass, Copperโs runs felt narrower but still fun! ๐ Ski OOTD: Mackage & Arcโteryx ๐ฆ ๐ด Aspen Eats โ Slope & Hatch Their fried fish tacos are a must! So fresh and crispy. ๐ฅข Denver Chinese โ Sichuan Chinese Restaurant Recommended: Fish-Fragrant Eggplant & Spicy Chongqing Chicken ๐ถ๏ธ๐ฅข #AspenSnowmass #SkiColorado #CopperMountain #SkiTrip #SnowSeason #TravelTroubles
