🌄️ Bromo Sunrise Experience 🌄️

I truly, deeply love this planet 🌏 Staying up all night to climb a volcano to watch the sunrise Feels like a grand unveiling ceremony The entire village is meticulously preparing for this sunrise In the darkness, no one knows what's around them The sun rises The volcano is outlined in golden light A huge gamble on the weather, and we won big time! Rosy clouds, morning fog Everyone on the mountaintop is exclaiming 'Wow——' Scenes I've seen countless times in photos Suddenly burst into my view For a good experience, you can do this: 1️⃣ Rest up in advance: I stayed in the city center of Surabaya, and to get to Bromo, I had to depart from the hotel at 23:30. The journey was long, arriving at 1:00 for the transfer to a jeep to climb the mountain, reaching the resting shop at the foot of the viewing platform at around 3:00, and then climbing up at 4:00 to chase the 5:00 sunrise. Basically, it was a night of no sleep. The viewing platform is just a few minutes from the shop. Because of the high altitude climb, some physical strength is needed. 2️⃣ Adjust your mindset: You might think it's tough, having to hike and climb mountains. Treat this trip as a hiking and earth exploration ceremony, and it might be better. Beautiful scenery is always far from the hustle and bustle of the city, and conditions in such environments are inevitably limited. 3️⃣ Bring the right gear: Bromo has a big temperature difference. Before and after sunrise, the temperature is cool and comfortable. Gear list -- Tank top (for good photos) + down vest + hard-shell rain jacket + hiking boots + backpack + goggles 4️⃣ Have a reliable guide: Our guide was amazing, leading us away from the popular crooked neck tree and to another hilltop. It was a short 5-minute walk, almost deserted and with an even more expansive view.
