🍽️ German-Austrian Restaurant Recommendation in Berlin, Germany!
Check out this authentic German/Austrian restaurant in Berlin called "Lutter & Wegner" 🏠 - it's the real deal because it's frequented by locals. 🦆 ROAST DUCK - The duck serving is big, featuring two massive duck legs. The tomato is stuffed (delicious and highly recommended). In the middle, there's a fried yellow one (potato dumpling), which I thought was potato at first glance, but it's not! It has a bit of the potato flavor, but it's especially chewy and bouncy, tasting like a ball but also a bit sticky, perfect score! I particularly loved it. 🥩 The best: SAUERBRATEN - slices of beef braised in vinegar. Known as Germany's "national dish," it's essentially a spiced German pot roast. Despite the name suggesting sourness, it's not sour at all! I found the beef to be super tender, melting in your mouth, just the texture I love. It also comes with pickled red cabbage - trust me, it's not sour at all, and you won't get tired of it no matter how much you eat! 🍰 Most importantly, their desserts! Karamellisierter KAISERSCHMARRN, which is a huge serving. Easily shareable among five people! This is the traditional Austrian 🇦🇹🇩🇪 pancake (Emperor's Pancake), a slightly caramelized pancake that's not overly sweet, sprinkled with some almond bits, and served with ice cream! The best of the night! The plum sauce was served on the side, not poured over, which I appreciated because I don't like plum sauce. #Germany #Berlin #BerlinLife #BerlinFoodie #BerlinEats #BerlinTravel #GermanLife #Germany #GermanWork #GermanFood #GermanyTravel #GermanyFoodie
