✈️ In-Depth Greece Trip: Living Experience in Athens - Glyfada 🏖
Rather than just ticking off the tourist spots, I prefer to delve into the local lifestyle. Besides the bustling attractions, I spent some time living in Glyfada, a suburb in southern Athens. Here are a few of my impressions: 🧚♀️ 1⃣️ Beautiful Beaches 🌊 Glyfada boasts some really beautiful beaches where you can go for a swim anytime the weather is good. 2⃣️ Lively but Peaceful Nights 🌃 The evenings are lively but not noisy. People sit quietly in shops, chatting and enjoying drinks. The streets may seem empty, but every establishment is packed with patrons, even on weeknights. 3⃣️ Diverse Food Options 🍽️ There's a great variety of food, especially for those who love Western cuisine and meat. The seafood and grill restaurants in photos 6 and 7 are excellent choices. Particularly, the seafood restaurant in photo 6 gave us local wine and hand-painted oyster shells as we left, making the experience truly memorable! 💯 4⃣️ Convenient by Car 🚗 Having a car is quite convenient, and parking is easy with plenty of street spots available. 5⃣️ Reasonable Housing Prices 🏠 The cost of housing is relatively reasonable. As for drawbacks, there are two minor ones: 1. The ultraviolet radiation is very strong. 2. There are so many local holidays that when we first arrived, all the supermarkets were closed for the first two days. #Travel #TravelDiary #Greece
