ποΈ Kyushu Beppu's Seven Hells, Japan
It turns out that trying to visit all Seven Hells in just half a day is really something only a special forces soldier could do. I split my visit across two half-days. The Seven Hells are distributed across two different areas, with five in one area and the other two in another. You need to take a bus to get between the two areas. Personally, I don't think it's necessary to visit all Seven Hells, as some are really, really boring. 1β£οΈ Sea Hell (ππππ) Listen to me on this one, you absolutely must visit! It's the most beautiful of them all. Apart from the main hell, there's also a lotus pond, a shrine, and a small red hell. 2β£οΈ Oniroku Hell (ππ) Located in the opposite direction of Sea Hell, it features a few mud bubbling pits, nothing too extraordinary. 3β£οΈ Jigoku Hell (π) This is the most boring hell in my opinion. Apart from the possibility to soak your feet in a hot spring and taste authentic hot spring eggs, there's no at all, so it's skippable. 4β£οΈ Kishin Hell (ππ) Also rather dull, the main attraction is the many alligators kept there, so it's also skippable. 5β£οΈ Shiraike Hell (ππππ) Definitely worth a visit! The hell's scenery is quite beautiful, and there's an aquarium inside with many large fish, which is also a must-see! These five hells are all very close to each other. You can take the bus from platform 3 at Beppu Station West to Sea Hell Station. After visiting the five hells, you can walk to Tetsudo area to see the smoking town, and then take the bus back to Beppu Station or to Blood Hell Station from Tetsudo. #BeppuHells #KyushuFreeTravel #BeppuTourism #NorthKyushuTravel #JapanTravel
