🚶♀️ Launceston Solo City Walk (Car-Free Edition)
Stranded without a car after my friend’s flight change (Hobart-bound), I tackled the city on foot with luggage—and still found gems! 🌿 Stops That Stole My Heart 1️⃣ Royal Park Tiny but cute (yacht views). ⛵ 2️⃣ Queen Victoria Museum 🖼️ Free entry + luggage storage! Loved the Tasmanian history exhibits. 3️⃣ Visitor Centre 🧳 24hr free lockers + cheaper souvenirs (airport prices = scam). 4️⃣ City Park 🌹 Japanese macaques + a girl dining among roses = peak aesthetic. 5️⃣ City Park Radio Museum 🎙️ Sweet volunteer grandpa let me DJ + showed me a 195-year-old flower (name forgotten… oops). Donated $5 happily! 6️⃣ Mud Bar Restaurant 🍷 Meh oysters but 2024 Ghost Rock Sauvignon Blanc = divine + burrata surprise hit! "Finally, my lazy wine afternoon!" 🥂 ⚠️ PSA: Airport Transport NO SKYBUS! Uber/Taxi only (my ride: $36.38—thanks, surge pricing). Regret: Should’ve bought more wine & lavender bears! 🐻🍷 #LauncestonDiaries #SoloTravelWin #TasmaniaOnFoot #WineTime ✨
