🍽️ My New Canteen in Irvine 🀩 ChaiLan 🍽️

The portions here are genuinely huge! Two girls ordered three dishes, and after eating for ages, it felt like the dishes hadn't been touched. The quantity and price in Irvine feel so surreal. They give an abundance of seafood and meat, and the ingredients are super fresh! It's truly my latest dining discovery. 🦞 Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup with Assorted Vegetables: I was shocked by the portion size as soon as it hit the table. They gave an enormous amount of seafood, and the noodles were so chewy! Hand-rolled and freshly cut, as a northerner, I really love this! My favorite is the soup! It's not very spicy but incredibly fresh. On a cold day, having a bowl of this is just bliss. πŸ– Deep Fried Pork Salad with Sweet and Sour Sauce: My all-time favorite, the pot-fried pork!!! Be sure to eat it with the scallion threads on top!! The frying is just right, not too dry but with a crispy exterior and tender meat inside. The sauce's sweetness is just perfect! Tangy and sweet, I can keep eating it (calorie alert 🚨). πŸ₯— Mixed Seafood and Vegetables with Mustard Sauce: The Chinese translation on the menu is a bit abstract, so I call it the luxury version of the seafood colorful cold noodle dish. It's so luxurious, with a generous amount of sea cucumber, shrimp, squid, beef, jellyfish, and glass noodles. Not much noodle, just a lot of protein and vegetables. The portion is truly astonishing, enough for four or five people. The sauce is made of yellow mustard, with a sweet and sour taste! Very appetizing! The owner stopped me from ordering more dishes... Thankfully, because even these dishes took two meals to finish when packed up and taken home. Next time, I'll try their fried sauce noodles.
