🍽️ New York Solo Dining Chronicles

🌸The Full Fish Sashimi That Keeps Calling Me Back 🐟 Oceans 🌊 A seafood-centric restaurant where I came for the full fish sashimi. 🏙️ Last week, after a night of drinks, I stumbled in for a meal but my phone died, so no photos. I had Japanese snapper that night—rich in fat and incredibly aromatic. It was heavenly! I couldn't stop thinking about it all week, so I came back. This time, the only size suitable for one person was the Portuguese pandora. It was still quite fresh, with plump and tender fish meat. 🎢 However, the bones and tiny fish bones weren't completely cleaned today, which was a minor annoyance but didn't ruin the overall experience. The full fish sashimi is priced at market value, but the overall cost is pretty reasonable. The dish comes with olive oil and coarse salt with lemon wedges. Eating a whole fish by myself was no problem at all. The focaccia served before the meal was outstanding—moist, oily, with large air pockets. It's better than what many Italian restaurants offer. 🌊 Last time, I also ordered grilled octopus, which was very tender and chewy. The accompanying fava beans were creamy and smooth. Overall, the restaurant is very consistent in quality, and the ambiance is quite nice. I'll definitely be coming back often! 🍃 #NYCExploration 🗽 #NYCLife 🌆
