🍽️ NYC Fine Dining Miss | Soogil in East Village
At $150 per person for an 8-course Korean-French fusion menu, Soogil left us disappointed. Small portions are expected for "pretty plates," but the flavors and execution fell flat. 📉 Lowlights: Beef Wellington – Tough, dry, and oddly sour steak with a lackluster crust. Scallop Cream Soup – Thin, lacking richness or depth. Most dishes were bland, forgettable, and missed both French finesse and Korean soul. 🍫 Only Bright Spot: The hot chocolate dessert was decent — but not enough to save the meal. Nice ambiance, attentive service, but the food doesn’t justify the price.
