๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Oscar Wilde NYC: Whimsical Dining Experience ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ“ Food Review in NYC: Oscar Wilde NYC ๐Ÿข Location: Oscar Wilde Oscar Wilde is a Victorian era-inspired restaurant in NYC known for its whimsical decor. It's best visited when they have special seasonal or holiday decor up, because they go very over the top. For summer 2023, they have an absolutely magical Alice in Wonderland theme. The restaurant is dripping from top to bottom with decor inspired by the famous book and movies. You'll see white rabbits, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, playing cards, moving flowers, and more. Oscar Wilde gets busy and lively on weekdays as soon as work ends, so reservations are recommended. ๐ŸŒŸ Overall rating: 4/5 because it's very cute for photos and I always enjoy meeting friends here for after-work drinks. Although I usually go just for drinks and the ambiance, I thought the food was pretty good. ๐Ÿ“‹ Dishes I Ordered & Price: The How Soon is Now gin + tonic: $16 I'm not the biggest gin + tonic fan, but I enjoyed this one because of the elderberry, lavender, and rose flavor. Oscar Wilde has an extensive list of specialty gin + tonics and garnishes their cocktails beautifully with fresh flowers and botanicals. Truffle Arancini: $17 This is tasty, but I wish the truffle flavor was stronger. Steak + Frites: $39 I usually don't order steak if a restaurant isn't a steakhouse, but this was pretty good. The steak was properly cooked, and I enjoyed the presentation. It's also a good-sized portion. Mussels Frites $27 This was my favorite thing we ordered, and I'd definitely order it again. It was the server's recommendation, and she was right! The white wine and garlic sauce was delicious, and the portion was big. I only wish you could get skinny crispy fries instead of the thick-cut British-style "chips" they serve. ๐Ÿ•’ Opening Hours: MON - WED 4PM - 1:00 AM THUR - FRI 4PM - 2:00 AM SAT 11:00 AM - 2:00 AM SUN 11:00 AM - 1:00 AM #nycfoodreview #nycguide #nycrestaurants
