🏛️ Oslo's Political and Cultural Landmarks

Today, I visited the Parliament and the City Hall in Oslo, the capital of Norway, and caught the official free guided tours at both of these political and cultural landmarks. 🕒 The Parliament tour starts at 10:15 AM on weekdays, and there's only one tour per day with a strict limit of 30 people (you have to get a numbered ticket!), so line up early~ Also, the security check is very strict, so don't bring drinks in your bag to avoid trouble. 👩‍🏫 The tour guide was very welcoming, answered many questions, and even gave a special explanation of the LEGO model of the Royal Palace. 🏢 Then, at the entrance of the City Hall, I thought there wouldn't be too many people, but there was a long queue! There's also a security check, but it's not too strict, and the tour limit is not strictly controlled; you can just show up and listen. 📚 The tour was very informative, like a crash course in Norwegian history and culture, as well as an introduction to the art and architectural design of the City Hall. For example, stories of the kings, the symbolism of two swans, the allusion of three arrows, and anecdotes from the murals. 🤳 I took a self-portrait at the Parliament, which was a big DIY move! The Royal Palace also offers official tours, but you need to book tickets on Ticketmaster. 🌞 These are basically benefits open during the Norwegian summer, so after visiting the summer fjords of Bergen, don't forget to come to Oslo to learn some political knowledge. #SpiritAndBodyOnTheRoad #Nordic #Oslo #RecorderOfRomanticLife
