🍽️ Paris | L'Aubergeade: Exceptional Value French Cuisine
I can't quite remember how I found this place, but I could only make a reservation via phone. However, my UK number kept failing to connect to the restaurant's line, so I had to try walking in at 8 pm, and luckily, I only waited for 10 minutes. You can order à la carte or choose a set menu, which offers exceptional value. The menu is in the last two photos. If you order lobster, there's an additional 5€ charge. 1️⃣ Snails Shell-less, with a buttery aroma and a slight hint of garlic. 2️⃣ Beef I couldn't wait to dig in, and I burned my tongue from its heat. It was very fragrant, topped with salt and ground black pepper, without any fancy seasonings. The richness of the marrow paired with simple seasoning was fantastic. 3️⃣ Shrimp Tender and delicate, but it seemed like the shrimp line wasn't cleaned properly (it's been a while, and I've eaten so much in Europe that I'm not sure if it was this place). 4️⃣ Boston Lobster A whole lobster, sweet and plump, very satisfying. However, it was a bit overcooked, making the texture slightly tougher than the Australian lobster I had in Australia (or maybe it's just the nature of the Boston lobster being a bit tougher?) 5️⃣ Steak Delicious, without any sourness. While waiting for a table, I bought fruit and dessert from another shop, so I was too full to try the dessert here, which was a pity. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, mostly locals, and I even saw a girl celebrating her birthday. The owner turned off the lights and brought out her cake, which made me jump thinking there was a power outage. The owner was also very warm and welcoming. Next time I'm in Paris, I'll definitely try the dishes I missed on the menu. #FrenchCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation #Paris #ParisTravel #ParisianDining
