☕️ Pittsburgh Coffee: Beautiful "Useless" Turkish Coffee
🤩 Couldn’t wait to try the new spot in the Strip District! ✨ Turkish Coffee Finely ground Arabic coffee brewed with water in a cezve (that cute copper pot 👆). Heated twice until it foams, then served for you to pour into tiny cups. Since it’s unfiltered, some grounds are normal—yes, you’ll taste them! The cardamom flavor is strong 🧡—totally different from regular coffee. Fun to try once, but probably not an everyday drink for me. It came with a Middle Eastern pastry—date-filled, sesame-coated, and sweet. A bit rich on its own, but perfect with coffee! A unique experience—you’ll either love it or hate it 😆 ☕️ Cappuccino Pretty sure they use Stumptown beans—surprisingly delicious! ▫️ Chatted with the owner afterward—he’s from Syria 🇸🇾 He shared that what’s called "Turkish coffee" actually comes from Syrian and Middle Eastern traditions, but got its name 'cause Turks introduced it to the West. Mind = blown! 🌍 📍 Novaria Coffee 1812 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh How was your weekend? Like & save if you enjoyed this! 💛 #PittsburghCoffee #PittsburghFood #TurkishCoffee #COTD #CoffeeLovers #NewInTown #PGH
