Finally checked out REI in Denver — and wow, it did not disappoint! 🏬 Three floors packed with gear organized by activity and gender: Fitness, hiking, running, trail sports, climbing, camping, cycling, skiing, water sports, and more… 🧷 Thousands of brands, including: Arc’teryx, Patagonia, The North Face, Mammut, Marmot, Black Diamond, Helly Hansen, Mountain Hardwear, HOKA, Salomon, On, and many more. 💰 REI Co-op brand – affordable, high-performance, and super popular in the U.S. Lots of items are cheaper than brand stores, plus clearance sections with 60–80% off — take your time and hunt for gems! 👟 As a sneaker reseller, I spent ages in the urban & outdoor footwear section — the specialization and competition between brands is next-level. Let’s just say… it’s a deep (and expensive) rabbit hole 🐇💸 🚴 Brompton bikes available — $1,850 before tax. Only two colors: Green Apple 🍏 and Lavender Purple 💜 (ironically, the top two shades from Mister Ballet’s new Chinese-inspired hand-dyed collection!). Sadly, none were assembled for viewing. 🧾 Asked about tax refund for tourists — the response was chill but clueless: “Oh yeah, that’s a good question… sorry, I don’t know the answer.” 🎟️ REI Membership: $30 for life 1-year return window for members (90 days for non-members) Annual member discounts + rewards can save you $100–200 — such a sweet deal! 🛫 Had to rush for my flight to LA, so this was just a quick visit — next time I’ll dive deeper.
