šŸ½ļø Somni | $2K Michelin 3-Star Meal… & So Full! 🌟

I finally scored a reservation at Somni—and just in time to try their new dishes! ✨ As a Michelin 3-star spot in LA, it’s almost impossible to book—tables sell out in minutes once reservations open. I had to set an email reminder two months in advance! We spent four full hours tasting through their course menu (check the last slide). By the end, I was sleepy, stuffed, and honestly couldn’t take another bite. Highlights & Lowlights: 🄧 Starters were incredible—especially the fish. So delicate, so well-executed! šŸ„ Black Truffle ā€œPizzaā€ with a protein-based crust (no dough!)—creative and rich in texture. 🄩 Beef Tartare surrounded by delicate blue flowers—elegant and flavorful. šŸ¦€ Crab Course stood out—topped with refreshing red grapefruit. āŒ Mussel Dish was a letdown—the bottom layer was way too fishy. šŸ– Later Mains felt heavy and oily. One bite of the fish and pork courses was overwhelming. šŸ Desserts were painfully sweet—couldn’t finish them. The first half = magical. The second half = confusing and overly rich. At $1000 per person, it’s an experience—but maybe a once-in-a-lifetime one. #Somni #Michelin3Star #LADining #FineDining #FoodieReview #TastingMenu #EaterLA #SplurgeWorthy #EpicMeal #LAFoodScene #MichelinStarExperience
