š½ļø Somni | $2K Michelin 3-Star Meal⦠& So Full! š
I finally scored a reservation at Somniāand just in time to try their new dishes! ⨠As a Michelin 3-star spot in LA, itās almost impossible to bookātables sell out in minutes once reservations open. I had to set an email reminder two months in advance! We spent four full hours tasting through their course menu (check the last slide). By the end, I was sleepy, stuffed, and honestly couldnāt take another bite. Highlights & Lowlights: š„§ Starters were incredibleāespecially the fish. So delicate, so well-executed! š Black Truffle āPizzaā with a protein-based crust (no dough!)ācreative and rich in texture. š„© Beef Tartare surrounded by delicate blue flowersāelegant and flavorful. š¦ Crab Course stood outātopped with refreshing red grapefruit. ā Mussel Dish was a letdownāthe bottom layer was way too fishy. š Later Mains felt heavy and oily. One bite of the fish and pork courses was overwhelming. š Desserts were painfully sweetācouldnāt finish them. The first half = magical. The second half = confusing and overly rich. At $1000 per person, itās an experienceābut maybe a once-in-a-lifetime one. #Somni #Michelin3Star #LADining #FineDining #FoodieReview #TastingMenu #EaterLA #SplurgeWorthy #EpicMeal #LAFoodScene #MichelinStarExperience
