⛩️ Tokyo Atago Shrine
On a day of great fortune❣️, I visited Atago Shrine to pray🙏🏻. The stone steps to success were really steep! Halfway up, this out-of-shape person started panting again😅. I tried to look back and down, but I was afraid I might fall, so I held back🤣. Before the main hall, I saw the person in front of me pray to the beckoning stone, and I quickly followed suit, bowed, and touched it🥰. The vermilion-painted gate was so beautiful; I really love the vibrant red in shrines❤️. After praying, I went to get an ema (⚠️: Atago Shrine doesn't have pre-written ema, so bring your own or buy one on site). This time, I used the owl ema book that my swimming class grandma bought for me from the shrine on Mount Washi in Tochigi. It's so cute! Then I got an amulet and a daruma lottery!🤩 My fortune was great luck! Ahhh, I'm so happy! I wrote a wish on an ema, hung it up, and wandered around under the sunset. The pond was so clean, though the fish seem to return in March w. Going down the steep steps of success was also nerve-wracking for someone with a fear of stairs, trembling all the way🤣. So scared w. #Japan #LifeInJapan #JapaneseLife 🌟
