Having visited Virginia Beach multiple times over the years, I still firmly believe: if you can, stay right on the ocean — where you can see the waves from your window! ✅ The Perks: Watch sunrise and dolphins 🐬 from your balcony Step directly onto the boardwalk and beach — no driving, no hassle Take spontaneous walks to the sound of crashing waves 🌊 Build sandcastles or sunbathe anytime you want 🏖️ ❌ The Drawbacks: It’s more expensive 💸 Rooms and suites can be compact (but you’re here for the view, not the square footage!) 👨👩👧👦 This trip: Traveled with my parents and stayed at Holiday Inn Express VA Beach Oceanfront 📍 2607 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach Free breakfast 🥞 with solid variety (same options daily but plenty to choose from!) My parents woke up early every day — caught the sunrise, walked the beach, and had breakfast… all before I even opened my eyes 😂 Huge peace of mind: they couldn’t get lost! (Last year we stayed at an Airbnb 15 mins from the beach — I was constantly worried they’d wander off and lose their way!) 💡 Booking Tip: Compare prices across platforms!
