🇦🇹 A Church That Made Me Specifically Visit Vienna—Absolutely Stunni
After seeing this church online, I was completely captivated. Once I arrived in Vienna, visiting it was my top priority! Europe has countless churches, and after a while, it’s easy to get tired of them. But Karlskirche was the only church during my Viking cruise journey that I paid to enter. 📍 Karlskirche (St. Charles's Church) 🚇 Take U1 to Karlsplatz, and the church is just a short walk from the station. 💰 Ticket price: 9.5 euros for adults, 5 euros for students. Tickets are sold in the passageway after entering the church gate. Be careful not to buy the wrong tickets—there are other sellers at the entrance offering tickets for performances. ⏰ Monday to Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday and holidays: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM In addition to the main church area on the ground floor, you can also climb to the top. Although there’s no elevator, it’s not too high and is easy to climb. From the top, you can see the entire Karlsplatz and some landmark buildings of Vienna’s old city (the Golden Hall is right across!). There are also some exhibits on the intermediate floors. 📷 The second-floor organ area is perfect for taking photos. Whether you’re on the ground floor or the second floor, remember to adjust the horizontal and vertical alignment of your photos after shooting. 🚢 The Viking Danube River itinerary includes a 3-day stay in Vienna. On the first day, the "Little Red Guides" took us to explore the highlights within the Ringstrasse. The rest of the time was free for us to explore on our own! Even for someone like me who loves wandering around casually, it felt both hassle-free and liberating. So on the second day, I headed straight to the places that interested me the most! #UnforgettableAttractions #EuropeTravel #Austria #Vienna #MyVikingJourney #VikingCruises
