Feeling like Vienna offers the most diverse food options among the Central European countries? 😋 Sharing some delicious finds I discovered with the help of 📕! 🍽️ Main Courses 📍Grnd Restaurant Located near the Golden Hall and Vienna State Opera 🎭. Ordered pork ribs—super tender and full of flavor! Served with grilled corn, hash browns, and two dips. The hash browns were incredibly crispy. Highly recommend! 👍 📍Figlmüller Bäckerstraße A super famous schnitzel place 🍤. Better make a reservation—when we arrived, walk-ins were turned away after a few people. We tried the schnitzel, beef soup, and potato salad. Huge portions (the beef soup felt like they put a whole cow in it 🐮😂), but taste-wise, it was just okay. Mostly for the experience. Total ~€60. 📍Öfferl A highly recommended bakery 🥐. Really fragrant! Great for those who enjoy "Western-style meals". Their latte comes with an extra layer of foam—pretty unique and tasty. Loved it! ❤️ 🍰 Desserts & Snacks 📍Demel Tried the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) with jam 🥞. Fluffy, not too sweet, and the jam was tangy—just perfect! Always crowded, but you can take away. 📍Bitzinger Sausage Stand Right at the corner near the State Opera 🌭. Known as Instagram’s most popular sausage stand! Many go for the chili cheese dog—I got the cheese one with honey mustard sauce. Sausage was juicy and crispy, bread like a baguette. 📍Café Sacher Wien The place to try Sachertorte 🍫, an Austrian classic. Thick chocolate coating, slightly sweet with a hint of fruity sourness. A must-try when in Vienna! 📍Spar Prepared Food Section Available at many supermarkets 🛒. An Austrian specialty—crispy toasted bread outside, filled with weighed and sliced sausage inside. Tried the chili one—a bit salty (like most Central European food 😅) but delicious with pickles, ketchup, or mustard. 📍McDonald’s Baby! Iced matcha latte 🍵—so good! Recently it’s “Italy Week,” so I tried an Italian-style pesto dip—kinda weird but interesting. Their fried chicken is way better than the UK’s 🍗! 📍RJ Train Meal Chicken curry rice + cheesecake + chocolate torte 🍛🍰. All for just over €5!
