🇦🇹 What I Ate During My Week in Vienna!

I spent a week in Vienna and tried some of the city’s popular food spots—here’s my review: 🚫 Plachutta Wollzeile – Avoid avoid avoid! This famous beef soup spot is overhyped. Definitely not worth it. (Check my previous post for details.) 🌟 Figlmüller Bäckerstraße – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This was my favorite restaurant in Vienna—it lives up to the hype! The schnitzel was more flavorful than expected, and the potato salad tasted like a refreshing Chinese side dish—even I, a potato hater, loved it! 🥔 The goulash was tender, and the dumplings dipped in broth were a delight, especially for Northern Chinese tastes. 📌 Book ahead—it gets crowded! The service was exceptional (they apologized three times for a slight delay 🫣). Now THAT’s worth leaving a tip for! 💯 🍖 Grnd Restaurant – The pork ribs (Spareribs) were delicious! Right next to the opera house—worth a visit. 🍺 Reinthaler's Beisl – Cozy pub vibe, busy even at lunch. I tried their sausage with sauerkraut and fried potatoes—a bit salty but tasty! 🍻 The beer was great too. 🥩 Ribs of Vienna – Another popular spot. I tried original, chili, and ginger ribs (you can swap potato for fries—big win!). The flavors were decent by European standards (no offense 😅). Their Kaiser and Radler beers were good! 👍 📏 Centimeter – A local friend recommended this pub. Huge portions and great value! Their “bread by the centimeter” is fun 🍞—perfect for watching games with friends. 🍰 Demel – I went twice! Their Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) is better to-go—cheaper and no wait. Not too sweet, and honestly better than what I tried in Germany! I also tried Oberlaa’s version (pic 14), but it was too doughy—Demel wins! 🌭 Sausage stand in Prater Park – As a sausage lover, I’m obsessed! Why are sausages so addictive? 😍 Already excited for my next trip to Munich for more sausages… #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGems #Foodie #LifeInVienna #Vienna #ViennaFood #ViennaTravel #FoodReview #FoodTesting
