π¦πΊ Darwin City Hotel Review - Hilton Darwin
Hotel Name: Hilton Darwin π Location: Perfectly situated β just across a road and a small lawn from the sea (under 300m!). Close to the amusement park, Coles, restaurants, bars, and shops. π Safety: No unhoused individuals seen in or near the hotel β doors wide open, indicating a safe area. π° Price: Low season: $100+ AUD Peak season: $200+ AUD Tip: Book in peak season if possible β other "budget" hotels charge similar prices then, so why not choose Hilton? π¨ Lobby & Design: The lobby feels unexpectedly luxurious for Darwin β high ceilings and mirrored surfaces create a grand vibe. This is the only truly 5-star part of the hotel! The attached restaurant/bar is quiet and ideal for relaxed dining or drinks, mostly frequented by older tourists. ποΈ Rooms: Recently renovated (goodbye 1980s motel vibe!), but still compact. π Loved the carpet pattern and the single armchair π Everything else feels like a mid-tier Chinese hotel (Β₯500/night level) Bed comfort: average Robes: scratchy (not cozy!) πΏ Biggest issue: Weak shower water pressure β frustrating! π Pool: Disappointingly small pool and tiny lounge area β no desire to swim here. π Final Verdict: Stayed 2 nights β wonβt return. The weak shower alone is a deal-breaker π . Maybe suitable for: Travelers who donβt care about water pressure + value quietness and fewer guests. #HotelLover #Darwin #HiltonDarwin #AustraliaTravel #HotelReview #WorkingHoliday
