π¦πΊ Darwin Trip β Day 2: Litchfield National Park Tour πΏ
Joined a day tour with AAT Kings today β highly recommend! π Our guide was super knowledgeable, and everyone in the group was friendly. Overall, an amazing experience! π We started around 7 AM. The tour involved driving between sites while the guide shared interesting facts, then stopping to explore before hopping back on the bus. We were dropped back at the hotel around 5 PM. Visited two beautiful waterfalls π§β definitely bring your swimsuit and a towel if you want to take a dip! You can also enjoy a relaxing walk through the forest or wade in the shallow streams. So peaceful! Another highlight: the termite mounds π! Theyβre everywhere β all shapes and sizes, and still growing. Took a photo with a giant one π. Besides termites, the area is also home to giant barramundi and turtles π’. The guide fed small fish to them, and suddenly a big lizard π¦ showed up trying to steal a snack! The guide tossed it a fish too β it swallowed it whole and looked very satisfied. Lunch was a simple Western-style buffet π₯. Iβm not a picky eater and actually enjoyed the food, though it was mostly salads and cold cuts β not very filling. Dinner was at an Indian restaurant in the city called Darwin Tandoori π. It has a 4.9 rating on Google Maps β and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered butter chicken, and the naan was especially delicious π. β οΈ But fair warning: I ended up with a mouth ulcer the next dayβ¦ maybe too spicy for me?
