🇦🇺 Geelong | A Perfect Weekend Getaway in Victoria! 🌊
Maybe it was the perfect weather ☀️, but everything looked absolutely stunning! Geelong is ideal for a relaxed day trip—you can see so much without rushing. Weekend street parking is free, making it great for a road trip 🚗, or just hop on the V/Line from Melbourne CBD. 🍽️ Must-Try Eats: 📍 Sailor’s Rest – Right by the sea with fresh seafood and a lovely vibe! 🌟 Top Attractions: ➡️ National Wool Museum 🐑 – Housed in a 19th-century wool store, this museum tells the story of Australia’s wool industry. $12 entry (cute fridge magnets for sale!). ➡️ Geelong Gallery 🖼️ – Features works by Frederick McCubbin and Eugene von Guérard. Free entry! ➡️ Patagonia Outlet 🛍️ – Time for some retail therapy! ➡️ Eastern Beach – Famous for its colorful bollards 🎨, each with its own story! A walk here feels like stepping through Geelong’s history. ➡️ Cunningham Pier ⛵️ – Best at sunset! The long wooden walkway offers breathtaking bay views. 🍽️ Dinner Spot: 📍 The Geelong Boat House – Took fish & chips to Eastern Beach (great atmosphere, but the food was meh). 🔴 Pro Tips: If staying overnight, check out: 🍷 Local wineries 🍺 Little Creatures Brewery (tour their craft beer setup!) Sadly, we ran out of time! 😅 #WeekendEscape #GeelongAdventures #MelbourneDayTrip #RoadTripVibes #ExploreVictoria
