πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί How to Explore Geelong Solo – No Car Needed! πŸŒŠπŸš†

Took advantage of a sunny Monday and finally went on that solo trip to Geelong I’ve been dreaming about! β˜€οΈπŸ˜Š Getting there was super easy – just hopped on the V/Line from Southern Cross Station. Trains run every 20 minutes β°πŸš†, so no strict planning needed… perfect for us P-people! πŸ˜‰ Geelong is such a beautiful and relaxed town πŸŒΏπŸ’™. I’d only been to Port Melbourne and St Kilda before – the first is just a plain beach, the second is pretty but way too commercial. Geelong’s Eastern Beach area does have some commercial spots, but it still feels local and authentic with people walking their dogs, jogging, and just chilling. πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸƒ Traveling alone means total freedom! I wandered around the waterfront all day and tried all the fun stuff – felt like a big kid again πŸ₯³πŸ‘§ πŸ’– Highlights & Recommendations: 1️⃣ Giant Ferris Wheel 🎑 – Looks amazing from afar, and the view from the top is even better! Totally worth it. 2️⃣ Carousel Ride 🎠 – Yes, it’s mostly kids and parents, but who cares? Treat yourself to a seaside carousel moment – it’s romantic in its own way! πŸ’« 3️⃣ Beach Swing 🌊 – There’s a swing along the path from the carousel to the waterfront. So peaceful! 4️⃣ Souvenirs 🧸 – Picked up a cute wooden doll keychain from the National Wool Museum – such a unique keepsake! (Was too tired to find the large version though πŸ˜…) 😫 Skip These: Restaurants – Sadly, don’t get your hopes up. I tried the popular Sailor’s Rest and later Wharf Shed… overpriced, pre-made food, and mediocre drinks. Not worth it πŸ™…β€β™€οΈπŸ πŸ˜‚ Funny moment: One of the wooden bollard sculptures looks just like my math teacher! πŸ§“βœ–οΈβž— And yes… couldn’t resist a mirror selfie on the V/Line – with bonus train shake πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ All in all – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Geelong totally healed my soul πŸ₯ΉπŸ’™ #Melbourne #StudyInAustralia #Geelong #DayTrip #SoloTravel #CarFreeTravel #OOTD #ExploreVictoria #RelaxingDay
